Project managers, technical support agents, and production developers frequently interact with the Products team to report bugs and request product features by creating Btnet tickets, discussing issues offline, and sending emails to the Products listserv. This sequence of events leads to:
- Duplicate tickets, delayed fixes, and general confusion
- Decreased efficiency by requiring constant searches through 1,000s of emails
But the reality is this causes enormous amounts of invisible, unstructured data. All teams in Operations and Products teams can benefit by using Wrike together. For example:
- Submit requests to fix bugs or enhance existing products
- Subscribe to tickets to quickly update clients and other relevant parties of changes
- Standardize workflows and descriptions of tasks to increase efficiency
Vision's Product team processes include managing a “Bug Board” and a “Request Wall” to provide transparency to teams without access to Team Foundation Server (TFS). This empowers cross-functional teams to locate answers directly inside Wrike, ultimately leading to efficiency gains.
How do I report a bug or request a new product?
Before submitting a new request to the Products team about a bug, it is highly recommended that you first search the "Bug Board". You may find similar issues or the exact issue previously logged. This is a great way to identify recurring issues or escalate issues before suggesting a hot fix to the Product Development team. If nothing similar is found, go ahead and report a global product bug.
If you want to submit a product request, the process is very similar. You will fill out a designated form in Wrike. Each form is straightforward and require three simple steps.
Step 1: Initiate a Request
From your Wrike account, click the "+" button in the top-left corner to open the menu where you will choose "Request."
Step 2: Choose a "Request" Type
You will likely see many request forms available in Wrike, but the two Product forms are titled, "Report a Global Bug" or "Request a Product Feature."
Step 3: Complete the Wrike Form
Depending on your selection, the form will display with slight variations. It is important you spend time filling out the relevant fields with as much detail as possible. This will help expedite the response time as well as any implementation times.
