Remote Access Checklist

The below will be distilled into a literal checklist document which we send to client IT teams to complete. In the meantime, these are the facts and questions we need answered when accessing client servers remotely.

    • Will the account always remain active or will it expire periodically?
      • If it expires, what is the process to have the account activated before an update?
      • If it expires, how much notice is needed to reactivate the account?
    • Time restrictions
    • sign on procedures: any programs to open or settings to change upon logging in
    • sign off procedures: any steps to take when logging out
  • Web server login credentials
    • Server IP address(es) and Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) name(s)
    • Microsoft Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) enabled
