Production - Design Review Workflow

When to use Design Review workflow?

Use this workflow when requesting frontend & backend supervisors to review a design for any issues before it will be implemented.

 

Pending
REVIEW

This will be the initial status when a task is created.
The design is pending for review by the assigned resource. This resource is typically the frontend supervisor (to check any frontend issues with the design), and/or the backend supervisor (to check any backend issues with the design).

 

Design Review - Pending Review

  • Natalia creates a design review task assigned to herself, marks the status to "Pending Review", and sets a deadline for herself
  • Natalia includes these details in the parent design review task
    • Link/Attachment to the approved/final annotated wireframe
    • InVision Link to the designs to be reviewed with comments (NOTES)
  • Natalia creates 2 subtasks
    • 1 subtask for BE review, assigned to GA and marks the status to "Pending Review", and set the deadline/schedule
    • 1 subtask for FE review, assigned to Adriane and marks the status to "Pending Review", and set the deadline/schedule

 

REVIEW
In Progress

The resource assigned has started reviewing the design.

 

Design Review - Review In Progress

  • GA starts reviewing the design and updates status to "Review In Progress" for both his assigned task and parent task
INFORMATION
NEEDED

The resource assigned needs more information before approving/disapproving the design.

 

Design Review - Information Needed

  • GA needs clarification from Natalia and updates status to "Information Needed" for both his assigned task and parent task

 

INFORMATION
PROVIDED

The requester has provided the answers for the resource assigned to continue with the review.

 

Design Review - Information Provided

  • Natalia has provided answer to GA's question and updates status to "Information Provided" for both her assigned task and subtask assigned to GA

 

DESIGN
NOT APPROVED

The resource has not approved the design. It's either there are a lot of issues found, or there are some aspects of the design that is not technically doable with our CMS.
DESIGN APPROVED

The resource has approved the design. It's either there are no issues found or any issues found are noted or clarified.
On Hold

The task needs to wait for additional changes, additional information, or a decision.

Cancelled
The task has been cancelled, and does not need to be worked on.
